Progenics Corp Limited has set its sights to utilize new technology platforms to keep pace with the fast changing landscape in software and sundry technology systems.
To achieve this, the company recently concluded a five-week systems development training program for her systems developers to keep them up-to-date with global trends and to be abreast of challenges in developing complex upgraded solutions to satisfy their customers’ needs.
Consultants from various parts of the world were invited to train and introduce to the company’s staff the latest tools for application development.
Commenting on the rationale behind the training, Mr. Femi Akintoye, Progenics executive director stressed that since the firm is committed to bridging the gap caused by inadequate utilization of applications as a whole in the government and other sectors of the economy, constant staff training and re-training, as a matter of policy is at all times taken seriously by Progenics Corp Limited.
According to him, “manpower development is very important to us because the rate of technology change globally is very rapid. There are always new ways of doing things so one needs to remain up to-date as far as technology is concerned in Nigeria and the world at large.”
Speaking further, he insisted that constant training programmes conducted for staff of the company both within and outside the country, are part of the reasons the company can comfortably boast of a good number of staff that possess the highest levels of certifications including, but not limited to the Oracle and Cisco platforms.
Expected to benefit immensely from the regular knowledge upgrade are consumers of Progenics products and services.
The company promises that clients will experience a major upgrade that will significantly enhance their applications as a result of this training.

We want to empower our customers to be able to take business decisions on the move”.
Mr. Alabi explained that, as technology is evolving, Progenics is already in the forefront of harnessing current technology, which the training has impacted in their developers, making them currently ahead of their peers. “With the training, our developers are a step ahead of others in the industry”.
