Reliance Infosystems, an Information and Communications Technology services provider, has launched its Next-Generation Hybrid PBX communication product and Cyberoam Unified Threat Management product.

Mr. Olayemi Popoola, managing director, Reliance Infosystems, said that Cyberoam UTM is fast replacing the traditional firewalls in corporate networks due to its unique value proposition of identity-based all-encompassing threat management components.

He stated that Cyberoam is an all-in-one solution that is capable of solving organization challenges in terms of security, branch connectivity and users’ productivity.

He made this known at the company’s technology roadshow held in Lagos, According to him, ‘the “Layer 8” innovation presents immediate solution to the silent challenge of any corporate organization.

The highpoint of Cyberoam is its ability to empower IT security professionals to be able to granularly weave the security architecture of their organizations around the human elements. Facebook will not just pop open by itself if no one initializes it. IP address will not generate traffic by itself unless someone invokes it’.

He added that Cyberoam has gone beyond the traditional security offering by dovetailing IT security management to the user layer.

The relevant policies cutting across bandwidth management, content filtering, antimalware, firewall, policy-routing, VPN, publishing and access scheduling can be concatenated and intuitively wrapped around the user layer.

This layer 8 advantage is a milestone achievement, a landmark technology breakthrough and strategic tool in the hands of IT Security professionals to further push organizational security beyond the traditional boundaries.

Reliance Infosystems has been Cyberoam’s Premier Partner for more than three years having deployed more than 2000 units of Cyberoam across all industry segments in Nigeria.

Reliance Infosystems is also the Sole Authorized Cyberoam Training and Certification Provider in Nigeria and has trained more than 350 Cyberoam Certified Professionals in the last two years.

Last year, Reliance won the Best Partner Award for Cyberoam Sales Channel in Nigeria.

By reason of its early market entrance into Nigeria, strong local presence, over 2,000 Install-base in Nigeria, cost-effective product offerings, over 350 trained local professional, consistent local training programs and ever-evolving product development, Cyberoam is proud to assume the undisputable Number 1 position in Nigeria (and West Africa) UTM market today.

Mrs. Sylvia Akaleme, Business Development Manager, Reliance Infosystems, noted in her presentation that Matrix PBX natively incorporates GSM SIM cards, land line and VOIP as trunk interfaces while also supporting IP, analog and digital extensions.

She further stated that Matrix PBX is a unique offering to corporate businesses in Nigeria given its exclusive features like Mobile Extension, Call Budget on Extension, Tariff-free inter-branch communication using both IP and GSM CUG, Call Back (Flashing), Virtual Meeting, Conversation recording and Instant Messaging.

Danjuma Audu, executive director, explained that Matrix is undoubtedly a cost-saving choice for all corporate businesses especially businesses that have branches.

He said that using VOIP trunk feature of Matrix can save business more than 50 percent on their monthly budget on communication.

He also noted that Mobile Extensive feature allows traveling users to “carry” their desk extensions with them on smartphone thereby breaking them free from expensive roaming charges.

Apart from communication systems, Reliance Infosystems’ solution bouquet comprise of network infrastructure design and deployment, connectivity, security, productivity, availability, business continuity, ERP and e-payment solution.
