SAHCOL Acquires More GSE Equipment, New Warehouse Nears Commissioning

As part of its determination to improve the face of ground handling in Nigeria, in line with International best practices, the Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL) has taken delivery of additional Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
 
The equipment, manufactured by TUG, United States; Denge, United Kingdom and TBD, United Kingdom, includes Conveyor Belt Loaders and Baggage Tractors; Baggage Carts; Pallet & Container Dollies, respectively, which are already being deployed to further improve services to clients across the network.
 
Meanwhile, as part of the growing profile of the Company, SAHCOL was awarded the contracts to provide ground handling services to Max Air, Kabo Air, West Link Air, Medview Airline and Skypower Airline for the outbound and inbound of the on-going Hajj Operations.
 
SAHCOL handled seventy-five outbound flights, from Nigeria to the Saudi Arabia operated by these airlines, from Lagos, Ilorin, Kano, Bauchi, Gombe, Kebbi, Dustse/Yola and Portharcourt.

According to Mr. Basil Agboarumi, general manager, Corporate Communications at SAJCOL, the Company shall soon open to the public a cargo warehouse complex which shall rank with the best in the world aviation community, and by implication a pride to Nigeria, especially the Country’s Aviation Cargo Warehousing Services, as it promises modern/automated warehousing facilities.
 
“SAHCOL is spare-heading a change, that will make available the best of facilities/equipment, such that will bring about the desired satisfaction in total aviation ground handling Services to all customers.
 
“SAHCOL, a first class ground handling services provider, has amongst its clientele, Arik Air, United Airline, Etihad Airways, South African Airway, Medview Airlines, Aero Contractors, Dana Air, Middle East Airlines, Egypt Air, Sudan Air, Azman Air and CamAir-Co.

“Others are Gambia Air, Discovery Air, Air France, Atlas Jet, Max Air, kabo Air, Ethiopian Airways, African World Airways, and other adhoc Operators”, the statement read in part.
 
SAHCOL, an Aviation Ground Handling Provider ( 100 percent owned by the SIFAX Group), offers services in Cargo Handling/Warehousing, Passenger Handling, Ramp Handling, Aviation Security and Baggage Reconciliation.

It also executes Executive Lounge Services, and related Ground Handling Services; while ensuring that Ground Handling assignment is carried out in an efficient, speedy and safe manner, by deploying the right tools.
