Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited, SAHCOL has been recognized “as the Best Aviation Cargo Handling Company of the year, 2013” at an award presented in Lagos at the weekend.
The award was presented to SAHCO during the 2013 Nigeria Transport Awards and Lectures, organized by the Transport Day Newspaper.
In a statement, Basil Agboarumi, head, Corporate Communications, Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL), said that at the award ceremony, which was graced by Crème de la Crème in aviation, auto-mobile, maritime, and various service providers in the transport and logistics industry in Nigeria, SAHCOL was appreciated for its outstanding high quality performance and operational excellence, track records and value creation in the Nigerian Air Transport industry.
SAHCOL recently acquired and commissioned critical ground handling equipment, which includes Commanders 40is, 30is and 15i, which drew commendations and endorsement from the representatives of the Foreign Airlines in Nigeria, Domestic Airlines and other stakeholders in the aviation industry present at the event.
Since the present Management, under the leadership of Olu Owolabi, as managing director and chief executive officer took over the mantle of leadership of the Company, business modules has been upgraded, which has ushered into the performance of the company efficient and speedy service delivery, while also investing in personnel development, state-of-the-art equipment, fleet replacement and massive infrastructural development.
SAHCOL is an Aviation Ground Handling Company (100 percent owned by the SIFAX Group), which has brought its experience to bear in the day to day performance of its duties, which includes Passenger Handling, Ramp Handling, Cargo Handling/Warehousing, Aviation Security, Baggage Reconciliation, Crew Bus and Executive Lounge Services, and other related Ground Handling Services; ensuring that Ground Handling Services to all clientele is executed in an efficient, speedy and safe manner, in line with international best practices, while also ensuring that the right tools are deployed.
