The new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, like other Samsung products, is based on Google's Android operating system and is designed around two key features the iPad lacks - a stylus also called the S Pen and several applications that allow the user to use it for note taking and sketching and, the ability to view two programmes at once in a split screen mode.
Odejayi told guests at Samsung Experience Store in Ikeja, venue of the product launch that the note's multi-tasking with multiscreen feature is currently unequaled in terms of smartphones available in the market.
He reiterated Samsung's commitment to making life easier for Nigerians. “Samsung is determined to show that taking notes, capturing ideas immediately, and sketching to realize them is the most personal and natural way to be more productive and creative,” he promised.
Also, Mr. Bolade Oyekanmi, Digital Content Analyst for Samsung, Wes Africa said Galaxy Note 10.1 was built with a lot of flexibility as it enables users to utilize two different applications side-by-side simultaneously while providing an active learning experience for the user.
“It comes with an S Pen which provides a great option for users who find typing on glass to be limiting and might want to simulate pen.
“And the Galaxy Note 10.1 can be used in place of the fingers to navigate through the tablet and comes with a note which is essentially a free-form electronic pad can jot down notes or sketch in it with an ability to translate notes into handwriting,” he added.
