Samsung Winds Down Give Away Promo

Winners of the recently concluded ‘Samsung Give Away Promo’ which commenced in Feb 2008 were last Wednesday presented with their prizes at the Computer village in Lagos.

Charles Omoregha, marketing manager, Samsung Nigeria, said the company decided to bring the presentation of prizes to the Computer village to thank the business owners there for actively supporting the brand through sales and also to show them that the promo was not a hoax.

An elated Mrs. Olayinka Abobare, one of the lucky winners of the 5 Kia Picanto cars said: "I felt it was one of those dubious people out to make some quick money when I first received the phone call that I had won, but today I thank Samsung for giving me this opportunity to own a car."

Finally, Samsung has presented to the winners, who came from all over Nigeria to claim their prizes of 5 Kia Picanto cars, 50 Samsung LCD Televisions and 250 DVD players, all valued at about N12m.

Recently, Samsung has prioritized the design and production of pocket friendly consumer-centric mobile phones.

According to Samsung, these phones have enjoyed immense patronage from Nigerians and the feedback received from sales gave rise to the promo which was for those who bought the SGH-N720, C140, C160, C260 and C450 during the period of the promo.
