Schneider Electric, 21st Century Technology Partner on Tier IV Data Centres

Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with 21st Century Technology to provide trusted EcoStruxture ITTM solutions in the first Tier IV data centres in Nigeria that 21st Century Technology is building.

This was made known at the official signing of the partnership between 21st Century Technologies and Schneider Electric Nigeria for Africa’s Largest Tier IV Data Centres, during a business luncheon themed “Technology and Business Efficiency” hosted by the Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Lagos Continental hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

EcoStruxureTM is Schneider Electric’s Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled open and interoperable system architecture which enables key operational and energy efficiency solutions across the Buildings, Data Center, Industry, and Infrastructure end-markets. In the data centre market, it has proven increased efficiency, reliability and availability of infrastructure.

In his remarks, Mr. Balaji Lenka, General Manager, Schneider Electric, noted that the company remains focused on developing innovative solutions that works.

He stated that the partnership with 21st Century Technology further solidifies Schneider Electric position as the foremost energy, automation and software specialist in Nigeria.

“We have indeed remained committed to the development of innovative and cost effective energy solutions. This partnership is a testimony and we will definitely deliver” Balaji stated.

Speaking at the event, Wale Ajisebutu, Chief Executive Officer, 21st Century Technology, stated that the need to build Tier IV data centres in Nigeria that will rival any in the world was born out of the need to be ready for the ever changing technological landscape.

In his words, “What has happened in the technological world in the past 25 years will be like child’s play when compared to what will happen in the next 5 years.

The question is how do we intend to handle the change? This is the reason why we’ve decided to build these infrastructures”.

On the selection of Schneider Electric as its exclusive partner, Mr. Ajisebutu said “In my years of working with Schneider Electric, they have delivered all they had promised, in fact, they have over delivered! I feel very grateful for the partnership,” he said.

Viviane Mike-Eze, Marketing and Communications Manager, Schneider Electric, who was also a speaker at the event stated that the cost saving possibilities in the innovative solutions Schneider Electric has to offer businesses makes the company a partner of first choice.
