Sidmach Honours Deserving Individuals, Companies

Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited, a foremost ICT company in a bid to motivate staff and friends of the company, recently celebrated them for their efforts at moving the company forward. 

The company during its Staff Get Together/ Awards Ceremony held in Lagos, presented special awards to 3 distinguished friends of the company namely;  Major General Sebastian Achulike Owuama (Rtd); Dr. Mohammed Sakiwa Abdulrahman and Mrs. Deborah Tinuola Ajayi in appreciation for their support and contributions to the growth of Sidmach.

Mr. Mike Olajide, chairman of the Company, speaking on the awards said: “I am excited that Sidmach has grown to this level. We have been in business for 18 years now and we have no abandoned project.”

He explained that the Company also maintained its presence in the public and private sectors of the economy and delivered best-in-class solutions and services to customers and stakeholders.

“As part of our activities in 2012, we successfully developed, deployed and commissioned the WAEC Online Result Verification Portal. The service is the first of its kind in Nigeria and it has the objective of promoting authenticity and integrity in the service delivery process of our educational sector.”

“Our Company has continued to be a firm believer in the abundance of opportunities in our nation.  We are conscious of the fact that our services are very key to the actualization of the business goals of various stakeholders both in the public and private sectors.”

“We expect a significant increase in the level of activities in the ICT industry in 2013 by joining forces with other ICT stakeholders,” Olajide said.

“At Sidmach, what makes us unique is that our solutions and services (particularly in the education sector) have positive impacts on virtually every family in Nigeria. We are humbled by this fact and have rededicated ourselves to ensure that this privileged standing of ours is maintained going forward. For us it is all about pleasing and surpassing the expectations of our customers, who are the reason why we are in business,” he said.

Olajide further said: “We come together at the beginning of every year to thank God as a family because the end of the year is usually busy.”

Two of the staff members- Mr. Mudashiru Lawal and Mr. Olusegun Adeeko, were also rewarded for their punctuality and commitment to duty.

The essence of the awards, according to him was to reward deserving staff and encourage other members of staff to excel in their duties.

Presenting the awards to the staff on behalf of Sidmach, Sir Ademola Aladekomo, president, Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) said Sidmach gives qualitative awards which recognizes efforts put in by those who have supported them.

Present at the awards were notable personalities which included Sir Ademola Aladekomo, President Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Mr. S.A Shehu, Registrar/Executive Secretary, Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), Mr. O.S Thomas, Director General of the Nigerian Insurers Association, Mr. Ken Spann, Chairman, Wavetek, and Folu Majekodunmi of Microsoft Nigeria amongst others.
