SIDMACH Scoops Software, ICT Innovator Awards at BoICT 2016

SIDMACH Technologies Nigeria Limited, have scooped awards in two categories of this year’s Beacon of Information and Communication Technology (BoICT) awards held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos on Saturday, April 23, 2016.

During the ceremony attended by the crème de la crème of ICT policy makers, captains of industries and other key players, Sidmach Technologies was presented with two awards, Indigenous Software Company of the Year and ICT Innovator of the Year.

Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited is an indigenous ICT company with world class products and services. The company provides innovative integrated solutions to customers across the public and private sectors of the economy.

Speaking on Sidmach’s achievements, deserving of the awards, Mr. Ken Nwogbo, editor In-chief and CEO of CommunicationsWeek Media Limited and the organisers of the awards, said that over time, Sidmach has distinguished itself in the Nigerian ICT sector, setting clear path for technological revolution in the country.

Mr. Nwogbo added that the testimonies about Sidmach’s innovation can better be told by the education community in Nigeria where the Company have helped organisations including Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) achieved greater efficiency and improved operations. The company also partnered with Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) to deploy the e-Curriculum Portal, transforming teaching and learning in Nigeria. “The Company has set a clearer path for ICT innovation to restore the dignity of education in this country. We are proud of them as an indigenous company that defies all odds to add value to the system”, he said.

“We are not surprised that Sidmach emerged winners in these categories of the awards. Sidmach provides ICT solutions that address the needs of its customers in today’s highly competitive business environment. The solutions are adaptive, scalable, secure and easy to use and support”.

Receiving the awards on behalf of the Board, management and staff of the Company, Chief Peter Arogundade, managing director, expressed appreciation to all Sidmach customers who made this possible.

The Beacon of ICT Distinguished Lecture is designed to explore efforts to put Nigeria on the global information and communications technologies map, while the award ceremony reward best practices and recognize outstanding contributions to the growth of the sector.
