Siyanbola, Bowill’s MD Emerges New President of ANCO

Mr. Siyanbola Oladapo, managing director, Bowill Errands Limited has emerged the new president of the Association of Nigeria Courier Operators (ANCO) with a promise to entrench professionalism, thoroughness, discipline, brilliance, style, glamour and frankness as the hallmarks of practice.

Oladapo, a thorough bred, fearless and an avid supporter of professionalism started serving the Association from inception as the Pioneer Financial Secretary making to bear on the Association’s finances his wealth of experience as a distinguished banker.

He later stepped in into the office of the General Secretary serving for two years after where he excelled as the live wire of the Association putting his years of experience as Managing Director in various companies.

He is an Associate of Chartered Institute of Administration and a player in the capacity of General Manager in Oil and Gas Sector and Initiator of Apostles of Peace Society, a society of philanthropic professionals championing cause of peace at homes, churches, national and international for a, until he contested as the 3rd National President of the Association polling over 99.7% endorsement of members present during the election held on Wednesday 13th November, 2013.

Whenever the Postal Commission of Nigeria becomes a reality, his contributions shall stand tall. The novel initiative of his fully bankrolled Bowill Errands Annual Public Lecture in the past five years where issues that promote professionalism, and other that are germane to the growth of the industry, bring together courier/logistic practitioners, Federal and State Government Agencies together; he has dedicated greater attention to issue of Postal Commission and even during 2013 edition brought down the officials of Ghana Courier  and Postal Commission led by Mr Isaac Annan Riverson, its Executive Secretary to share Ghana’s experience with Nigeria.

However, all eyes are definitely on Oladapo as expectations are higher. He is well respected amongst members of the Association and the Industry regulators and stakeholders going by accolades he received at his company recently concluded 5th Bowill Errands annual lecture.

He is seen by members as a capable, tested and a thorough bred professional. Interestingly, he has just been appointed about 3 weeks ago as Diocesan Adviser and Diocesan Board Member of Anglican Communion.

Being a member, Chartered Institute of Management (MNIM), the industry will benefit from his managerial prowess. He has a distinct personality which earned him the nickname MR BOWTIE of Courier Industry.

He rolled out the following developmental agenda: Robust membership base, articulate and highly proactive Association/Exco; expanding business frontier in West Africa, championing establishment of umbrella body for courier companies in West Africa; a vibrant and responsive secretariat, regular stakeholders meeting, joining hands to flush out illegal operators; facilitating ease of assessing cheaper loans by operators; setting up machinery for building a befitting secretariat amongst others.
