SkyVision has launched its virtual private network (VPN) service to corporate and government entities, giving business continuity and private network connectivity services over premium C-Band across the African continent.
SkyVision VPN will support the increasing demand for highly efficient and reliable end-to-end connectivity for business and governments’ communication needs.
It will utilize a single satellite with truly pan-Africa coverage and customers all over the continent will now enjoy a high quality Africa-to-Africa connectivity that also features the innovative Direct X3 Evolution Technology.
Mark Gazit, president, SkyVision, expressed happiness at the announcement of the new SkyVision VPN service. “It will allow any business or government body to securely connect their remote sites to the corporate WAN regardless of where in Africa any site may be located. In today’s mobile environment, fast and reliable remote connectivity is critical. No less critical is the fact that such connectivity is secured. With an efficient VPN, companies are able to leverage corporate assets as their employees collaborate across any application, whether voice, video, data and internet-all in a seamless manner,” he said.
The SkyVision VPN service specifications include a private network isolated from the internet but offering internet connectivity to each remote site as an optional feature at data rates of up to 1,024/384KHZ without limitation on the number of sites connected to the network.
SkyVision is a global telecommunications company that provides IP connectivity via satellite and fibre. With more than 10 satellite platforms, the company’s global service footprint cover 90 countries, delivering services to over 350 ISP’s, telcos, mobile operators, NGOs, global enterprises and government entities.
SkyVision’s service is supported by regional sales teams, local distribution channels and technical representations located in various markets, allowing it to respond rapidly with flexible, tailored solutions.
The company’s three main gateways are in the USA, Europe and the Middle East with service capacity in excess of 2Gbps over both satellite and fibre.
