Overtime youths and startups have used the social media to connect with friends and reach out to loved ones but it has now gone beyond just chatting with friends alone to building brands using the social media platforms.

That was the general view ‎at the just concluded Revolutionizing Technologies Seminar organized by Broadband Today, an online web blog for information of Information Technology and Broadband in partnership with Priority Communications Limited and The Nigeria-British Chamber of Commerce, youths and startups were enlightened on how to effectively use the social media to boost their businesses.

The seminar which took place recently was well attended and topics such as Utilizing Social and Digital Technologies to aid the growth of Startups, Digital Media and its Economic Value, Impact of Social Media on Business and Family life were treated by experts in the field.

Going by data made available, an average person spends about 4-6 hours online daily scrolling, double clicking, tweeting, facebooking and a whole lot of other things.

Startup were advised to make use of this least expensive social and digital media to grow their businesses and breakeven because the available statistic provides a reassurance that staying online can be very beneficial to any startup.

Dignitaries at the Seminar include Mr. Olumide Samuel CEO Priority Communications Limited, Mrs Joyce Akpata, the Director General of The Nigeria-British Chamber of Commerce, Mrs. Abimbola Samuel M.D Priority Communications Limited, Mr. Tagbo Nnoli, Head Infrastructure Services at Skye Bank Plc, Mr Gbenga Adeboye I.T Network Support Engineer at Skye Bank, Mr Adekunle Adeniyi Head Network and Security Engineer at Diamond Bank.
