Stan Nze, Gideon Okeke, Pretty Mike others to Star in Nollywood 25-minute Mystery-Thriller by Tobe Nosike

Multiple Award Winning Actor & Filmmaker Stan Nze (Áfàméfùnà, RattleSnake: The Ahanna Story, Emela) has been tapped to lead the stellar cast of Nollywood’s 25-minute mystery thriller 12 Hours. Writer and storyteller, Tobe Nosike, will make his directorial debut, and Gideon Okeke (Tòkunbò) will play the supporting lead with Chy Nwakanma, Pretty Mike of Lagos, and Obehi Aburime also aboard to star.
12 Hours follows the gripping tale of Kelvin, a Lagos-based Photographer, who awakens at midnight to an inexplicable terror. In his quest for answers, he is forced to confront the falsity of his lens by reliving the last 12 hours of his life. When he unravels the truth, he must accept his fate or fight back.
12 Hours takes the audience on an unprecedented journey, challenging conventional storytelling boundaries and breaking free from the norms, offering a unique narrative that challenges perceptions with Tobe Nosike as the Director.
Tobe Nosike is a rising luminary in the world of cinema. Though debuting as a movie director, his creative brilliance shines through as a great writer. Tobe infuses each project with a unique storytelling finesse that transcends the screen. His directorial journey promises to be a captivating odyssey, guided by the pen of a masterful storyteller, poised to redefine the art of filmmaking.
“The journey to producing and directing 12 Hours has been an exciting ride. I knew who I wanted to play the lead role right from the point of scripting, and when he was contacted, he loved the script. Then, our fair share of challenges came, but we both made compromises to ensure this shoot happened. Then, I thoroughly went through the supporting roles until I found each of the fantastic talents onboard. We all know how remarkably gifted Stan Nze and Gideon Okeke are, and I can’t wait for you all to be thrilled by them in 12 Hours,” said Tobe Nosike.
“It has been a thrill working with all the brilliant minds on this project from cast to crew. Working with them taught me that in everything you do, you must surround yourself with a community of like-minded individuals who share your passion and support your aspirations,” added Tobe.
Nollywood’s Sweetheart and Filmmaker Stan Nze is known for his stellar performance in RattleSnake: The Ahanna Story, which earned him the 8th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) Best Actor in a Drama. He was most recently seen in Kayode Kasum’s Áfàméfùnà: An Nwa Boi Story and will also be seen in Netflix and Ebonylife Studios’ Òlòtūré: The Series this 2024. Stan leads the stellar cast of 12 Hours with his role as Kelvin, a successful Lagos-based photographer living a lie.
With over a decade of acting career, Gideon Okeke has shown his prowess with the impeccable interpretation of any role he plays. Gideon landed his first lead role in the Nigerian drama film Relentless in 2010, starring alongside Jimmy Jean-Louis and Nneka Egbuna. Since then, he has starred in many movies in lead and supporting roles. He was most recently seen in Jade Osiberu’s The Trade in 2023 and has been tapped to topline Ramsey Nouah’s Tòkunbò, coming soon. He plays the supporting lead role in 12 Hours as Officer Idowu – A corrupt police officer who would do whatever it takes to get what he wants.
Chy Nwakanma is a born actress who has captivated audiences around the world with her roles in Dede’s Bride, A Love Untamed, and Going On 35. Her stage credits include playing Viola in The Twelfth Night (University of Illinois, Chicago Theatre) and Pecola in The Bluest Eye (University of Illinois, Chicago, Theatre). Chy’s work ethic and interpretation of roles remain undefeated.
Mike Eze-Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike of Lagos (Nigeria’s controversial socialite), will be starring alongside Obehi Aburime (Game On) as Kelvin’s friends in 12 Hours.
12 Hours is not just another movie; it explores the human psyche, pushing boundaries and redefining the art of storytelling. Get ready to question reality and delve into the extraordinary with this cinematic masterpiece.

Big Brother Naija Season 10 to Premiere July 26 with Record ₦150m Grand Prize

MultiChoice Nigeria, today announced the highly anticipated return of Africa’s biggest reality television show, Big Brother Naija, for its landmark 10th season. Set to premiere over two nights on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27, 2025, the new season promises 10 weeks of captivating drama, strategic gameplay, and unparalleled entertainment, culminating in the grand finale on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
The audition process for this milestone season was meticulously designed to unearth the most engaging and dynamic personalities from across Nigeria. Audition registrations were held from May 3rd to May 7th, 2025, and saw an overwhelming response, followed by rigorous in-person auditions conducted in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu from May 16th to May 18th, 2025.
Speaking on the upcoming season, Busola Tejumola, Executive Head, General Entertainment, MultiChoice Group, expressed her excitement: “Today we are not just announcing another season, we are celebrating a legacy.”
While the official theme for Season 10 will be unveiled on the premiere night, viewers can anticipate a fresh wave of excitement. The beloved Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is returning as host, guiding viewers through every twist and turn of the season. This 10th season also has the highest prize at stake – valued at a whopping N150million.
Fans can catch the premier live on July 26 and 27 exclusively on Africa Magic Showcase, Family and Showmax at 7 PM WAT. The Sunday live eviction shows will also air exclusively on these channels. The 24/7 live stream will be available on DStv Channel 198, GOtv Channel 49, and on Showmax.

GEFAS to Launch Innovation Hub in Anambra, Backs Soludo’s Digital Vision

Geeks and Founders Alliance for Soludo (GEFAS), a tech-driven network of young professionals, is set to unveil its operational hub in Anambra State as part of efforts to deepen digital engagement and community outreach.
The launch, scheduled for July 17, 2025, will take place at 10 Uche Ekwunife Crescent, Iyiagu Estate, Awka, and is expected to serve as a nerve centre for collaboration, innovation and support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s smart city agenda.
Convener of GEFAS, Mr Fred Agbata, said the initiative reflects the group’s commitment to digital progress and grassroots mobilisation.
“This space reinforces our support for Governor Soludo’s vision of a smart, prosperous Anambra. It’s also a demonstration of what young innovators can achieve when united behind a bigger goal—the re-election of Governor Soludo,” he said.
Agbata added that the hub would provide a platform for tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and creatives to co-create solutions that address local challenges and promote inclusive development.
GEFAS has called on stakeholders, youth groups and members of the public to attend the launch and engage with the opportunities the space will offer.

Over 5,600 Pupils to Benefit as ATC, ProFuturo Partner on Tech-Driven Learning

American Tower Corporation (ATC) Nigeria and the ProFuturo Foundation have announced a strategic partnership aimed at transforming the educational sector through digital innovation and technology.
The programme, which is being implemented in conjunction with the Kukah Centre, is expected to benefit over 5,600 school children and 34 teachers across 11 schools in Kano, Kebbi and Taraba states.
The initiative is part of a broader global collaboration between American Tower and ProFuturo Foundation, targeting education gaps in seven African and Latin American countries.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, ATC Nigeria Chief Executive Officer, Mr Pieter Van Der Westhuizen, said the partnership was aligned with the company’s Digital Communities programme, which facilitates technology-driven learning, financial literacy for adults and access to healthcare services in underserved areas.
“At ATC Nigeria, we are proud to support this impactful collaboration, which brings digital tools directly into classrooms. This partnership is not just about equipment—it’s about giving children the future they deserve,” he said.
General Manager of ProFuturo Foundation, Ms Magdalena Brier, described the partnership as a crucial step towards bridging the digital divide and empowering vulnerable communities.
“This alliance reinforces our mission to transform lives by improving access to education and digital tools. Every child and teacher reached through this programme is a testament to what we can achieve together,” she said.
Each school will be equipped with a digital learning kit, which includes computers, tablets, routers, projectors and other essential components tailored to foster interactive learning—even in areas with limited connectivity.
The initiative seeks to strengthen innovative teaching practices and promote inclusive education through digital transformation, with active support from local authorities who were present at the official launch.
