The Stanbic IBTC Founder Institute Lagos, has commenced orientation for Cohort II of its Founders, that’s widely renounced for building world’s fastest growing companies.
Following the VIP mixer party that was organized over the weekend to officially, introduce the Founders to some of the mentors, the Stanbic IBTC Founder Institute Lagos, organized an orientation for the Founders to show them what the program is all about and what they should expect, for the entire cohort duration that will last for 14 weeks.
The event was anchored, by Ayowande Adalemo, CEO Atmosphere and Lead Director, Stanbic IBTC Founder Institute, Lagos, who, after a brief introduction of the other Directors, asked each of the Founders to introduce themselves and why they are in the Institute.
Ayowande, thereafter, explained to the Founders what the program is all about, through a program overview that encapsulates how Founder Institute is the world’s largest start-up accelerator, creating over 1000 companies, per year, globally.
“Founder Institute is in over 180 cities across the world and has over 4,200 portfolio companies and over 14,000 mentors, spread across the world”, stressed Ayowande.
Ayowande further stated that “problems abound all across the world and that it is left to us entrepreneurs to solve the greatest problems, facing humanity and FI, has empowered Founders, from all over the world, to build large, global companies, to make a positive impact”.
Ayowande went further to explain FI’s core program track that will help entrepreneurs scale and how the Founders, can join the Founder Lab, (FI’s Advanced Post Graduate Programs and Support).
Seun Abimbola, co-founder, Rentit and FI Lagos, cohort 1 graduate, speaking at the event, explained, why Cohort II Founders, need to always take their assignments very serious and they should also learn how to maximize the time they have, for office hours.
“Founders need to understand that, building up your start-up in a challenging environment like Lagos state is not easy and that is, why it is, highly imperative that, you should get very serious with FI”.
Also speaking at the event, Olalekan Akinyele, ceo / founder, Xaine Ingenius and FI Lagos, Cohort 1 graduate, explained in detail why Founders, should not create false assignments and submit them.
“You need to work and give your all to your start-up and that is what FI will inspire you to do”.
Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr. “CFA”, regional director, founder Institute, explained to the Founders that, the 14 weeks will be very tough, but by the time they are through, the Founders will be more refined and ready to make an impact, in the tech ecosystem.
