The African Telecom People (ATP) Awards is an annual event, which takes place in different locations around the world. ATP was created to honor personalities and institutions that have left an imprint of exception in African Telecoms. ATP brings different personalities in the telecoms world to converge, to discuss best practices, and to encourage them on continued success.
The Awards for 2009 was well attended by Operators such as from Nigeria, and other African countries. This is one of the many awards Starcomms won in 2009 as they strive to be the network of choice and to bring various social networking services such as Face book, Twitter, Afritalk Voice chat, StarTrack and religious services such as listening to both the Quran and the Bible to the Nigerian community.
