SystemSpecs Wins Software Company of the Year

SystemSpecs, Nigeria’s software powerhouse has won Software Company of the Year at this year’s Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Awards organized by Nigeria CommunicationsWeek in Lagos recently.

The over 55,000 readers of Nigeria CommunicationsWeek unanimously voted for the company for providing the most qualitative Human Capital Management and Financial software solutions for the Nigerian and African market.

The award was presented to the company at a colourful event which attracted top decision and policy makers in both the private and public sectors.

Ken Nwogbo, editor-in-chief, Nigeria CommunicationsWeek said that, “SystemSpecs was chosen by Nigerians who recognize and appreciate your leadership position in developing software Nigeria and as a clear leader in Information and Communications Technology business process and integration.”

John Obaro, managing director of SystemSpecs, who was represented by Demola Igbalajobi, Group Head Remita Services, thanked the organizers for the honour and called for continued support for the industry.

“We are pleased by this award and the endorsement we are getting for making our humble contributions to the development of this industry. Nigeria is a great country which cannot attain her full potential except software Nigeria is given the kind of support it deserves.” Obaro said

The ceremony was witnessed by the industry heavy weights like; Egnr. Ernest Ndukwe, former Executive Vice Chairman, Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) & Director, SystemSpecs; Egnr. Yomi Bolarinwa, Director General, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC); Prof Chris Nwagboso, Chairman, Knowledge Media International UK; among others.

The Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Awards was instituted in 2008 by Nigeria CommunicationsWeek as an annual merit-centric celebrations to reward best practice and recognize outstanding contributions to the growth of ICT in Nigeria.

SystemSpecs, is the developer of Remita, an integrated e-Payment solution with in-built Payroll and optional biometrics.
