TD, Dell Promote Intel Core Processors for Speed & Reliability
Technology Distributions, number one ICT distributor in West Africa and Dell Computers global leading PC manufacturers are promoting Intel Core processors as the ideal processors to handle the complex data arising from the emerging information society.
The convergence of voice, video and data at work and recreation has placed enormous pressure on the PC in terms of how long it takes to execute specific assignments.
Mrs. Chioma Chimere, TD’s managing director, Marketing Today’s said a training for resellers that multi-tasking achiever requires a PC that enables him to clear his desk in record time.
Intel Core, Chimere explained, is a brand name that Intel uses for various mid-range to high-end consumer and business microprocessors.
The Intel Core processors are more powerful variants of the same processors marketed as entry level Celeron and Pentium.
The Intel i3, the Intel i5 and the Intel i7 are the three divisions that make up Intel’s Core brand: a collection of consumer-oriented processors, or central processing units, for desktop and laptop PCs.
She explained that identical or more capable versions of Core processors are also sold as Xeon processors for the server and workstation market.

Chimere listed the Dell Inspiron 5050 and Dell Latitude E5430 as systems with Intel Core i3 and Intel Core i5 processors respectively.
She urged the resellers to increase the market shares of these outstanding products based on the reputation of Dell as an OEM that brings the right products and services to a wide range of customers across all business segments – home, small and medium business, and for large enterprises.
Chimere assured that the manufacturer’s warranty from Dell will be keenly executed to the delight of the customers.
It will be recalled that the TD Dell partnership was launched in December 2009, at which time Mrs. Chioma Ekeh, then TD managing director, described as natural that Dell should desire to gain respectable market shares in Nigeria and West Africa riding on the platform of the major player status of TD.
