TECNO Camon 19 Mondrain Edition Wins Muse Design & A’ Design 2022 Awards
Technology can now also be art. TECNO, a global premium smartphone brand, recently advanced their commitment to delivering consumers the most intuitive, stylish and well-designed smart devices by announcing the CAMON 19 Pro Mondrian Edition Gift Set with a TECNO CAMON 19 Pro Mondrian Edition smartphone, a pair of TECNO TWS SONIC 1 earbuds, and other 2 Mondrian style accessories.
Among which, the smartphone perfectly combines the industry’s first ‘Sunlight Drawing’ technology with the stylistic art form, allowing the phone shell color to change with the light, paying tribute to the Stylistic master Mondrian achieved through technology innovation.
Designed for those who are “young at heart” and never stop pursuing excellence in both technology innovation and aesthetic design, TECNO’s CAMON 19 Pro Mondrian Edition Smartphone Integrates a Color-Changing Design with a Sleek Bezel and Advanced Camera, Inspired by Abstract Art Icon Piet Mondrian.
With the exceptional craftsmanship and its innovative visual appearance, TECNO CAMON 19 Pro Mondrian Edition recently collected two international design awards, 2022 MUSE Design Award from US and the A’ Design Award from Italy.
The MUSE Design Awards is a leading international award competition that aims to promote excellence in various design industries by providing professionals and brands with a platform to compete on the world stage.
The MUSE Design Awards is created by the International Awards Associate (IAA) in New York and is known for its rigorous judging system and high-quality criteria.
While A’ Design Award is a world’s leading annual international design competition recognized by ICOGRADA(International Council of Graphic Design Associations) and European Design Association. A’ Design Competition is the largest design competition in the world and the awards are given to the best designs, design concepts, products, and services.
TECNO’s ‘Sunlight Drawing’ technology, which uses ultraviolet light to create a multi-color phone shell, is unlike anything you have even seen on the market before. This polychromatic photoisomer technology is an innovation which uses the breakage and recovery effect of the chain of photosensitive molecular bonds under ultraviolet light, making colorless molecular groups become chromogenic and then revert to colorless.
“The process breaks through the technical limitations of single-color or dual-color discoloration, and realizes for the first time the industry ideal of “making mobile phones not only a technology product, but also a work of art.”
“Aesthetics in technology is becoming increasingly important for today’s consumer, as they look for a more personal mobile experience,” said Lucia Liu, Chief Brand Officer, TECNO. “We’ve long maintained a ‘stop-at-nothing’ mentality to bring our consumers the most innovative and intuitive devices.
The introduction of the CAMON 19 Pro Mondrian Edition makes it possible to achieve the beauty of art through technological innovation as well as to bring art and style to more consumers.”
Other Features of TECNO CAMON 19 Pro Mondrian Edition
TECNO CAMON19 Pro 19 Mondrian Edition follow the other features of the CAMON 19 series, with the first-in-industry 64MP main camera and an RGBW sensor, co-developed with Samsung, overcoming the traditional challenges associated with photography in nighttime and low-light conditions.
Coupled with TECNO’s complementary Glass + Plastic (G+P) technology, light intake can be further enhanced by another 30%, effectively doubling the overall picture quality for users.
TECNO CAMON 19 Pro Mondrian Edition also applied 50MP 2X Optical-Zoom Lens to deliver clearer and more detailed portraits. The optimal focal length distance of 50mm allows users to shoot videos and photos with clearer and more crisp portrait outlines without distortion.
In addition, the smartphone’s camera system also utilizes AI Face Beauty technology, which intelligently identifies different facial structures and skin tones, and delivers smoothing complexions and accurate skin tones along with other improvements.
The CAMON 19 Pro Mondrian Edition was introduced in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) at an event which paid tribute to art icon Piet Mondrian, the inspiration behind the design – depicting the geometric elements consisting of “primary colors” and straight lines – to reflect an equal and harmonious order.
Key Features of TECNO TWS SONIC 1 earbuds:
TECNO TWS SONIC 1 earbuds are another key product in TECNO CAMON 19 Pro Mondrian Edition Gift Set, which share the similar target users who are pursuing valuable products in fashion look and elegance with the industry’s most advanced technology.
The latest battery technology has been applied to support 50 hrs Ultra-long lasting battery life, enabling the users to listen to 800 songs while other competitive products can only listen to 300 songs. The world’s first in-ear and half-in-ear free switching TWS earbuds can meet the needs in different scenarios and meet the comfort with long-lasting usage.
The translucent capsule with the elegant ID design brings a hazy sense of science and technology and beauty.
Meanwhile, the call noise reduction function of SONIC 1 is using single-ear with two-microphone plus Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) algorithm, which can filter out the environment noise, reduce external interference, and preferentially extract clear human voices to outputs.

9Mobile Blames Network Outage on Data Center Fire in Lagos
9Mobile, mobile network operator, has blamed a network outage this week on a fire incident at its main data center in Lagos.
The fire is said to have happened on Tuesday night (December 17), leading to network issues for 9Mobile’s customers until Thursday.
9Mobile said it had experienced multiple fiber cuts which had led to some of the disruption.
Its customers have taken to social media to complain about a lack of voice and data services.
9Mobile is estimated to have more than 11 million mobile subscribers.
The latest outage follows a six-day outage that impacted the carrier in July.
“9Mobile sincerely apologizes for the recent service outages experienced by our valued customers which have affected our ability to provide voice, data, and internet services. We understand the frustration these disruptions have caused and deeply regret the inconvenience,” said 9Mobile in a statement.
“Our technical team has identified the root causes of the outages including a fire incident at our main data center in Lagos last night which severely impacted services, especially in the Lagos and South-West. We are grateful for the swift intervention of the Lagos State Fire Service, which helped prevent further damage.”
The cause of the fire was not revealed by the carrier.
Acknowledging the fiber cuts, 9Mobile explained that prior to the fire, a fiber cut on the backbone links in Lagos led to a total data outage across the country. Other vandalism incidents in Lagos and Abuja led to a total service outage in the southwest and a data service outage in the north of the country.
