#TheNewPocketMoni for Demo in Lagos Today

Valentine Obi, CEO of eTranzact International

PocketMoni will today in Lagos launch a game changer in the Mobile Payments space at an event which holds at CCHub Experience Centre, Yaba.

Described as a “Silicon Valley Style Product», the launch will l bring fresh impetus into the Nigeria and African mobile payment industry.

Mr. Ike Eze, executive director,  Strategy and Corporate Development, who leads the team of fiery product managers, developers and Engineers responsible for the development will be demoing the product to guests comprising members of the press and others in the mobile payments ecosystem.

Mr. Ifeanyi Abraham, senior PR manager, eTransact, said that they are happy while inviting stakeholders in the industry to Jon them in “heralding the new dawn of a mobile money service that is unique and understands the needs of the marketplace.

“We believe that the features we are launching will be of great use to the ecosystem, industry and to your business specifically.

“Can you imagine withdrawing money from an ATM without a debit card?” Can you imagine a mobile money service that is intuitive and ready to drive the growth of businesses in Nigeria?”, he asked rhetorically.

Abraham added that eTranzact has done a retake of what mobile money can be with a recreated game changing mobile experience, and a new features launch that will truly lead the next generation of mobile payments platforms in Nigeria.

Speaking further on the need for the product, he said, “On my timeline and in groups I belong to, there are conversations everyday about frustrations with payments and disrupting payments in Nigeria. With the coming of PayPal, there was a big shout about an International player coming to show the locals how its done, but the reality is that the Nigerian market has unique problems that Paypal cannot solve overnight.

“The big players eTranzact, Interswitch are blamed for being too slow or not innovative enough but the reality is that we have factors limiting the level of innovation and ideation.

“So, tomorrow (today) at the CCHub Mobile Experience centre by 11am,@MyPocketMoni will be taking steps to redefine payments in Nigeria, with a new version of the PocketMoni mobile money application which is #‎TheNewPocketMoni‬.

“We have put a lot of time into developing a product that we believe can truly drive payments in the marketplace and your feedback on the current edition and on features for future editions will be required to fully actualize our goals”, he added.
