e-Learning is the perfect complement to a traditional training programme.
While schools will still have need for personal interaction and mentoring, for most subjects a large amount of the instruction can be effectively put online.
e-Learning is the ideal venue to communicate any instructional information, simulate processes, demonstrate proper task performance, train on custom software or equipment, show how to troubleshoot systems, or prepare the learner for classroom training.
e-Learning is such a powerful tool because it lets the educational system eliminate wasted time and money.
It also makes for condense training, keep employees productive, improve consistency & effectiveness while providing provide risk-free simulations
That is why we commend Omatek Plc, computer manufacturing firm for opening a new vista for electronic learning (e-learning) for the education sector.
The initiative will consolidate Omatek’s position in the education sector while adding to the firm’s e-Xpress programme already in the public domain.
The main thrust of the scheme is to create an e-learning experience that will serve to further deepen teaching and learning engagements while reducing concurrent costs of managing materials and resources allocated to schools
The management of the computer firm has assured that the e-learning scheme, would act as a one-stop shop which provides a platform to ensure that Information and Communications Technology (ICT) tools are readily deployed to schools and classrooms under a carefully structured learning environment.
Under the initiative, Omatek will deploy 8" and 10" computers; internet connection to create virtual connectivity between students and teachers or lecturers. It also involves the deployment of a robust content and curriculum development.
The internet connectivity via the Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) technology would offer hotspots around the schools, "thus creating an enabling environment for teachers and students to deploy their Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) for connectivity.
The initiative is a demonstration of Omatek’s strong support for the future of the country’s educational sector.
