UBA’s Q3 Earnings Hits N120Bn
The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group has that it recorded gross earnings of N120.3 billion in its third quarter operations which ended on June 30, 2008.
The bank’s results, which were made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos today, showed that the figure represented about 60 per cent growth over N75.3 billion earnings recorded in the corresponding period in 2007.
The bank’s profit before tax stood at N34.88 billion during the period, about 77 per cent increase over N19.691billion made in the same period last year.
Its profit after tax also rose to N28.848 billion from N17.131 billion realised in its third quarter in 2007.
The bank said that it would pay N2.5 billion as tax for its operations during the period.
