Vodacom Group has been named Africa's Top Employer for the third consecutive year by the Top Employers Institute, achieving an overall score of 99.56% and setting a global benchmark in human resources innovation and ethical artificial intelligence practices.

The certification spans 20 HR domains including people strategy, talent acquisition, learning, leadership development, performance management, employee wellbeing, and diversity, with subsidiaries Vodacom Mozambique (99.96%), South Africa (99.88%), Tanzania (99.76%), plus Safaricom Ethiopia and Kenya also earning top national rankings.

Group CEO Shameel Joosub hailed the recognition as testament to Vodacom's Vision 2030 progress through purpose-led leadership, talent focus and workplace culture. Chief HR Officer Matimba Mbungela emphasised sustained employee experience commitment, linking staff wellbeing to fulfilling the purpose of connecting for a better future.

The award underscores Vodacom's workforce innovation amid rising group revenue of 10.9% to R81.6 billion ($4.4 billion) and EBITDA up 14.7% to R30.5 billion ($1.6 billion), driven by strong international operations including DRC, Lesotho, Mozambique and Tanzania.

Vodacom's consistent excellence positions it among the world's highest-rated employers, reflecting combined human impact of ethical AI and technology in organisational processes across its African footprint.
