Zain’s Customers Win Dubai Trip
The grand prize winners in the recently concluded Talk for Love promo of mobile operator, Zain Nigeria, a six week offer that rewarded customers as they shared expressions of love during the Valentine season has emerged.
The winners emerged, at a high level electronic draw conducted at the company’s corporate headquarters located in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Supervised by renowned systems and process auditors, TCQA, the draw produced 10 lucky winners of an all expenses paid trip for two to Dubai and $3,000 shopping allowance each and another 200 winners of N5, 000 airtime.
Mostafa Younes, marketing director of Zain Nigeria, said the Talk for Love promo is an expression of Zain’s commitment to rewarding customers on its network, adding that the gesture reinforces the company’s brand promise of ‘a wonderful world.’
He revealed that since the promo began on the 1st of February, 2010, it has produced a total of 200 daily winners of N5, 000 airtime each and 100 weekly winners of a Zain valentine’s pack and dinner for two at a fabulous restaurant in the winner’s location.
“With the Talk for Love promo, we joined millions of Nigerians to celebrate the Valentine season, a period where lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine’s cards, presenting flowers or offering confectionery. Indeed, Zain Nigeria, specifically designed the offer in a bid to spread joy, happiness and goodwill during the special Valentine season,” added Younes.
In a telephone chat with one of the grand prize winners, Younes further reiterated Zain’s commitment to rewarding all the 10 winners with the Dubai trip and $3,000.00 shopping allowance, saying the opportunity will offer many lovers a window to rekindle their love after the effusive expression of love on Valentine’s Day.
One of the lucky grand prize winner, Emem Etim, expressed surprised and excitement when contacted on phone by officials of Zain. The undergraduate of Uyo City Polytechnic, Akwa Ibom State, said she is extremely pleased and look forward to the trip as well as receipt of the big-budget shopping allowance.
Another star prize winner, Laolu Seun, Lagos resident, could barely contain his excitement when he said calmly, in a telephone conversation with officials of Zain: “I am just too excited and I know if I scream now my bosses and colleagues around me will think that I have gone crazy…” he said.
Also speaking at the event, Wale Akingbade, chief executive officer of TCQA, stated that Zain Nigeria painstakingly abided by best practice in systems and processes audit in delivering the draws, which produced all the lucky winners in the just concluded promo.
In his submission, Engr. Shamm Kolo, assistant director, Quality Control, Consumer Protection Council (CPC), expressed satisfaction with the draw just as he commended Zain for following due process.
The draw was attended by Ikechukwu Kalu, head, marketing segments, Zain Nigeria; Segun Aderinokun, head, mass market, Zain Nigeria; Olawale Alao, loyalty and retention manager, Zain Nigeria and Emmanuel Otokhine, public relations manager, Zain Nigeria among several others.
