Zinox Rekindles Entrepreneurship with iPower Plus Solutions

Leo Stan Ekeh, chairman, Zinox Group, has said that the official launch of its new entrant, iPower Plus is to drastically reduce the lack of electricity supply in the country and correct deficiencies in public power supply.

iPower Plus is an efficient, pocket and environmental energy solutions for one small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and households in Nigeria.

This critical national infrastructure is expected to cheetah-pole-vault the economy by boosting production and encouraging millions start-ups with the needed power supply to fire their kilns of production.

Ekeh said that iPower Plus is a product of five years of extensive research into reliable, efficient and robust smart power solution for Nigerian homes and offices by Zinox and international partners.

The Power Solutions which range from 1KVA – 20KVA is for a minimum of 1 million facilities in Nigeria in the next 10 years by making them available through Technology Distributions (TD) and its reseller network nationwide.

Speaking at the launch, Engr Lekan Faola, head of energy solutions at Zinox Group, regretted that fluctuations in electricity supply has caused persistent poverty, poor economic growth, poor performance in education, noise and air pollution and said that for Nigeria to achieve its ambition of being among the top 20 economies in the world, it must have a stable electricity supply.

Nigeria’s electricity supply currently fluctuates between 4,000 to 4,500 megawatts.

“I-Power Plus is a hybrid pure sine wave inverter system with an in-built technology that connects both the solar system and utility electricity. We have already installed in 1,761 institutions nationwide including one of the largest and most stylish residential homes in Ikoyi and are presently deploying more.

“Though we have deployed a lot but in the last 18 months, we have worked strategically with leading power solutions partners in Germany and Asia to perfect these products that provide enough power that runs homes, offices 24 hours a day. This is a compact solution that powers a home independently with its solar panels or interfaces with utility electricity and seamlessly resolves the common power interruptions in Nigeria”, he said.
