TD Plus Nigeria’s most professional support company which is accredited by all international OEMs has gone into partnership with Zinox Computers, Nigeria’s First Internationally Certified Branded Computers. This partnership means that all Zinox computers, no matter where they are bought, would be accepted by TD Plus who henceforth shall be responsible for all warranty and support issues on behalf of Zinox. This partnership is unique in the sense that TD Plus is authorized to effect instant across the counter repairs and also recommends immediate product replacement when necessary.
Explaining why Zinox went into partnership with TD Plus, Mr. Mukoro Emomine, managing director of Zinox Computers, said that the growing challenges of hardware manufacturing have dictated that the Zinox team concentrates fully on manufacturing. The Zinox management, he said, was determined that the quality of Zinox computer must be a head taller than any other PC brand in the market place. In addition, the growing numbers of PCs required to service orders from the Nigerian market and the West coast have increased from 250 systems a week in 1991 to 3,000 systems weekly as at the end of March 31, 2010.
Mr. Mukoro said that the choice of the TD Plus as the company to handle the support issues was based on the company’s professionalism, its national spread, technical depth and experienced customer service orientation. He said that there was no company in Nigeria that was comparable to TD Plus in terms of support because of the company’s pedigree.
Confirming the partnership with Zinox, Mr. Louis Iwegbuna, the head of TD Plus, said that his company is a specialized support company that has signed on Zinox to enable the company to concentrate on its area of core competence. He said that his company was already offering support to Zinox users at the following levels – the helpdesk, which enables users to phone in and get instant support by talking to experts who tell them what to do; the on-line support, which enables users to check the status of the machines on-line or even to download drivers on-line; the carry-in, which offers across the counter support to customers while they wait; and the on-site support for customers with over 500 systems deployed at a site.
He said that TD Plus also trains the Engineers of organizations with large deployments to trouble shoot and send an inventory to TD Plus. Mr. Iwegbuna said that there are time limits attached to every chore to ensure that customers experience minimal downtime. He said that usually, the company offers a replacement if the issue would take more than 48 hours to resolve. Iwegbuna said that experience has shown that the few problems that users have with Zinox computers arise from the fact that many are first time users. Secondly, most of the problems are software related not necessarily with the hardware. He said that all given, Zinox computers remain one of the most durable and internationally certified PCs in the country today.
TD Plus was set up as a support company in a bid to offer relief to thousands of Nigerian PC owners who were finding it difficult to resolve their support issues. TD Plus operates under the certification of all the international OEMs in Nigeria including HP, Microsoft, Dell, Toshiba, Acer, APC by Schneider, and now Zinox. TD Plus has support centers in Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Lagos, and is currently building a world-class 750 sq meters support center located in the center of Abuja to support all approved brands in and around Abuja. This center would be commissioned in August 2010. TD Plus has deployed a qualified Engineer in all the 13 Zinox offices across the country.
