Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has expressed its readiness to support the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA) on the Sponsorship of the 35th Kaduna Trade Fair.

 Speaking during the courtesy call of KACCIMA executive to his office, Mallam Habib Abdullahi, managing director of NPA, acknowledged that the Kaduna Trade Fair being one of the prestigious and pioneer Trade Fair in the north has over the years continued to attract major investors both local and foreign.

 The managing director thanked the KACCIMA‘s Executive for appreciating NPA’s consistent showing and appearance at the Trade Fairs over the years and  added that the theme of this year fair will be of great interest to the Business Development and Joint Ventures Department of the Authority.

Earlier in his speech, Dr. Abdul Alimi Bello, president of KACCIMA appealed to the Management of NPA to sponsor a part of the 35th edition of Kaduna Trade Fair themed  Agricultural Transformation in a Private Public Partnership environment”.

Dr Bello added that the fair which will run between Feb 21st and 2nd March 2014 will feature a quiz for Senior Secondary School Students first in its series and a Seminar on Agricultural Consultation for Economics Transformation.

 Present at the meeting with Dr. Bello are Ali Awwalu Makarfi, first deputy president, Hajiya Meheeba Dankaka, second deputy president, Dr. Rowland Ogbonna, council member, and Usman Saulawa, director general KACCIMA.

 On the part of NPA include the Executive Director, Marine and Operation Engr  David Omonibeke, Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services, Engr. Mohammed Sanni Saleh and General Manager, Business Development and Joint Ventures Mrs. Ugo Madubuike.
