Management of SystemSpecs recently announced the appointment of Dr. Emmanuel Eze, as the chief technology officer (CTO) of the company has been approved by the board at its recent meeting, in a bid to meet the company to the desired height.
As a homegrown director, Eze served as a Youth Corp member in SystemSpecs and rose through the system before attaining his new position within 14 years.
With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1999, Eze was employed full time in July 2001.
In 2003, Eze returned for further studies at the University of Hull, UK.
This decision culminated into the award of PhD in Computer Science following an excellent defense of his dissertation thesis “Context-based Multimedia Semantics Modelling and Representation”.
Eze has an extensive experience in core business and financial software design and development, enterprise ICT infrastructure management, research, and IT Management.
He has attended numerous professional training programmes outside Nigeria.
Apart from a good number of scholarly publications to his credit, Eze is a member of many professional bodies such as British Computer Society, Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, Nigeria Computer Society, etc.
According to John Obaro, MD/CEO, SystemSpecs, Eze has proven to be a great and dependable talent to SystemSpecs over the years. Even during his doctoral programme, “he has made himself available for support in the area of our core programming activities. For instance, in 2005, he led the team that migrated our J2ee-based application to the Spring framework in order to help achieve a more stable and scalable software product for the company”, he said.
