Aviation Agencies have been enjoined to initiate quality control procedures to strenghten controls over aviation fuel (Jet A1).

Engineer Saleh Dunoma, managing director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, stated this at a keynote address at the 2015 Annual public lecture organised by the Aeronautical Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

He commended the engineers for contributing positively to the development of the Aviation sector.

Dunoma advocated strict adherence to the Public Procurement act so as to safeguard the integrity of the profession.

The MD, himself an engineer commended the organisers for picking a relevant topic that has stimulated robust debate by the participants.

The Guest Speaker at the occasion, Engineer Emeka Ezeh, director general of Bureau of Public Procurement BPP spoke on the topic "Procurement; Avoiding and Navigating through the Iceberg".

Ezeh who was represented by a Director from the Bureau implored strict adherence to provisions in the Public Procurement Act.

He charged Engineers to checkmate corrupt tendencies that could hamper the integrity of the process.

Earlier in their separate remarks,  the chairman of the occasion, Prince Adelusi Adeluyi, the hosts engineer Ademola Olurunfemi and group Capt John Obakpolor all enjoined engineers to live up to the ethics of the profession.

The one day event was rounded up with presentation of awards and goodwill messages.

Eng Saleh Dunoma was later presented with an award.
