The issue of fake begging is the focus of the current episode of Glo-Sponsored TV drama series, Professor Johnbull, which comes on air on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on Startimes, today at 8.30 p.m.
Titled "Eye of the Blind", the 12th episode in second season of the social satire highlights the activities of fake beggars on the streets and their ingenious modus operandi.
Executive Producer of the programme, Globacom said the new episode, "promises to be as entertaining and educative as the previous episodes, as it brings to our consciousness the negative effect of fake and corporate begging and how it has been hampering the chances of those who genuinely need help in our society."
Viewers of the programme will see how the attempt by Flash (Stephen Odimgbe) to swindle Professor Johnbull and other unsuspecting members of the society on the pretence of suffering from a life-threatening ailment was handled.
They will also have the opportunity of knowing the fake beggars and how to determine those who genuinely need help.
The social satire generally addressed the following pertinent questions and others. Has begging now become a profession in the country and who are the corporate beggars and how do they operate?
"Eye of the Blind" directed by Tchidi Chikere along with Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) and Chief Chika Okpala (Zebrudayah) as production consultants parades top Nollywood acts including Olaniyi (Yomi Fash-Lanso), Mai Doya (Funky Mallam), Elizabeth (Queen Nwokoye) and Egbemma (Olaniyi's niece) acted by Nuella Tchidi Chikere.
A repeat broadcast of the programme comes up on Friday on the same channels and at the same time.
