Mr Afolabi Adesanya, managing director, Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), has said the just concluded Zuma Film Festival was not about personality parade, but for actors and their works.
``For you to be part of it, you must have entered a film, interested in the seminars, a panelist, student or you want to impact knowledge, '' he said.
`` We have had more than 120 film entries but after the film screening we have separated the wheat from the chaff and we now have about 90 entries,'' he said.
He observed that the high number of students participating gave credence to the new approach of developing sufficient human capacity for the nation's motion picture industry.
``We have students from six institutions of higher learning and we are excited that this edition has surpassed that of 2006 in terms of our expectation,'' he said.
The managing director said that the festival provided the best opportunity to draw synergy among students, investors and professionals in the industry.
This first edition of `Zuma', then known as the National Film Festival, took place in 1992 while the second and third editions held in 2003 and 2006 respectively.
It was re-branded Zuma, the name of a popular rock nestled between Abuja and Niger State in 2006 with a new logo of a sun as backdrop to a rock.
