Aeroconsult, a reputable Aviation Training and Consultancy firm, will tomorrow, play host to the cream of aviation practitioners and stakeholders in Lagos, as part of its contribution to the growth and promotion of professionalism in the aviation sector,

The one day aviation seminar with the theme, “Sustaining Safety In Aviation Sector” is targeted to compliment the efforts of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), whose role essentially is to regulate and ensure safety standard practices in the aviation industry.

Chief Osita Chidoka, minister of Aviation, is expected to declare the Seminar open while His Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, executive Governor of Delta State, and Chief Dr. Godswill Akpabio, his Akwa Ibom counterpart, will be the Special Guests of honour.

Other prominent figures expected at the seminar include: MD/CEO Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr. Saleh Dunoma, Managing Director, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency(NAMA),Engineer Ibrahim Abdulsalam, DG, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Engr. Benedict Adeyileka,  South African ICAO Representative, Mr. Levers Mabaso, MD/CEO, Skyway Aviation  Handling Company (SAHCOL), Alhaji Olu Owolabi, MD/CEO Med-View Airlines, Alhaji  Muneer Bankole and a host of others.

The convener, Engr. Ade Obadofin explained that the choice of this year’s Seminar theme, “Sustaining Safety in the Aviation Sector” is a conscious and deliberate effort to encourage practitioners in the system to be alert always, on the issue of safety.

According to Obadofin, the Seminar would climax with the award of honours to Akwa Ibom and Delta States respectively for their investment in aviation.

The pioneer Director General of Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Late Engr. Zakari Haruna, would also receive a post humus award for laying the foundation on which NCAA stands as at today.
