Afribank Nigeria Plc has been appointed by Lagos, Rivers, Ogun and Osun State governments to collect revenue for vehicle licenses and hackney permit issuance to enhance their revenue collection drive and accountability.
The states had recently partnered with Afribank on their newly introduced automated vehicle licensing and renewal system, known as AutoReg.
AutoReg is a web based business solution that makes registration and renewal of licenses easier and is meant for all automobile owners who want to register or renew their vehicle licenses with the states.
Vehicles covered under the scheme include cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and other heavy duty vehicles. It is a web based business solution that makes registration and renewal of licenses easier.
The government has consequently advised individuals and public institutions in the afore mentioned states to process their vehicle license and pay their hackney permits at any of the 300 Branches of Afribank nationwide.
The appointment of Afribank as collection agent was based on its track record of excellent performance in the collection of taxes, levies, revenues and bills for private and public institutions over the years.
The Bank has effectively deployed its on-line real time capability to offer seamless and instant reconciliation and prompt renditions of payments which has boosted the revenue drive, transparency and accountability of states and organizations the Bank has worked for.
Afribank has become the Bank of first choice for many organizations in their revenue drive because of its information technology, large branch network, spread, experience, convenience and transparency
Presently, Afribank collects revenues, taxes and bills for Customs, FIRS, Nigerian Maritime Authority and Safety Agency (NIMASA), NITEL, PHCN, and Delta State Government. The Bank is also strong in the sale of educational forms.
