Mr. Ben Nwoji, Managing Director/ CEO Afribank Trustees between 1999 and 2009 was honoured recently by the executive management of Afribank Nigeria Plc for his outstanding contributions to the growth of Afribank Trustees and Asset Management Company Limited.
Mr. Sebastian Adigwe, Group Managing Director/CEO, Afribank commended him for his initiatives and doggedness which enabled him nurture the company from the scratch to greater heights within a decade.
Nwoji in his response called on staff to support the new Managing Director, Mrs. Oghoho Osula by showing commitment and dedication to duty.
Mr. Nwoji, a multi-disciplinary personality, known in the industry as an accomplished banker and management expert with a 30 year track record in the corporate world joined Afribank Nigeria Plc at the grade of a Senior Principal Manager in 1994 from the then Nigeria Merchant Bank Plc and was posted to Port-Harcourt as Regional Credit Manager.
He had since then gradually climbed the ladder to become the pioneer Managing Director/CEO of Afribank Trustees and Asset management Company Limited.
Nwoji’s career success is strongly rooted in solid academic background which he has continued to pursue relentlessly. Nwoji author of “Corporate Finance - A Guide to Application in Banking & Financial Services in Nigeria 1998” is also currently the Director, West African Glass Industries Plc.
Mr. Ben Nwoji, a recipient of many international awards also bagged an illustrious Son’s Award for his grassroots development effort in establishing the Nkpa Community Bank Limited.
