In demonstration of her commitment and support towards the welfare of the under-privileged, Afribank Staff Charity Fund has responded to the Save Our Soul (SOS) call from Mr. Lukman Bello, the father of the sextuplets delivered at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) at Sagamu Ogun State recently.
The Charity Fund donated cash, baby food and diapers for the upkeep of the Bello sextuplets.
The donation was presented by the Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Lanre Alabi, Mr. Moses Adegbite Adebiyi, Chairman, Afribank Staff Charity Fund and Mrs. Titi Banjoko (member) to the Authority of the OOUTH, represented by Dr. O.B Ogunfowora and the Public Relations Officer of the Hospital, Mrs. Mopelola Adenuga.
Mr. Alabi explained that Afribank Staff expressed interest in assisting the family of the sextuplets as part of its mission to positively impact the community. He noted that the sextuplets needed to be given a hope to face the future and live a good life which can also be made possible through public support.
Mr. Alabi added further that Afribank Staff Charity Fund, an initiative of the staff of Afribank was established to offer support to the less privileged in the society. It has touched the lives of several charity homes across the country through donations and gifts.
Dr. Ogunfowora remarked, “We are very happy and impressed by the Afribank Staff Charity Fund’s quick response to the SOS call. This is highly appreciated. We promise to use the cash and the items donated judiciously for the care of the babies”.
He solicited the support of other public institutions and individuals to come to the aid of the sextuplets by emulating the gesture of Afribank Staff Charity Fund.
