Billionaire Oluwo Antonio Deinde Fernandez is reportedly dead, according to Dele Momodu, Ovation magazine publisher, who is believed to be familiar with eccentric wealthy Nigerian.
Momodu wrote that “Nigeria, and indeed Africa, has just lost one of its greatest sons; Ambassador Chief Antonio Dehinde Fernandez is gone!,”
Fernandez was born 1936 and was business magnate, diplomat and permanent representative of Central African Republic to the United Nations.
He was believed to be one of the richest men in Africa.
He was said to be so rich that the gemstone tycoon owned Island.
He also owned a mansion in Larchmont, NY, a house in Brussels, a palace in Nigeria and a French hunting château that once belonged to Napoleon Bonaparte.
He owned three private jets and is said to be worth about $8.7 billion.
