As preparations gear up for the fast approaching premier Cable Broadcast and Satellite (CABSAT) event for the Middle East, South Asia and Africa in Dubai, the Official West Africa Event Partners, Transatlantic Media Company is strategically engaging with industry stakeholders to ensure a successful outing for Nigeria.

As part of such stakeholder engagements, the top Management of the company led by Dr Bayero Agabi, president during the week paid a business visit to Mr Steve Ayorinde, Lagos State commissioner for Information and Strategy

Briefing the Commissioner, Bayero said the company, which is the producer of Cyber Africa television and magazine, is driving CABSAT in the entire ECOWAS Anglophone West Africa comprising of Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Serrie-Leone and Gambia as Africa's regional partner.

Stressing that the region most brace the odds to join the rest of the world to meet up with the Digital Switch Over (DSO) so as to maximize the social-economic benefits that comes with it. He added that broadcast technocrats and content producers would be attracted to deliberate on the future of Africa's cable, broadcast and satellite prospects.

"As the world adapts to digital content delivery, it is the thrust of our organisation to help project the inherent values of Africa's culture and heritage at the world stage via our superb broadcast content. Bayero stated the commitment of TMC to partnering with the National Broadcasting Commission to fast track the seamless migration from analogue to digital broadcast in 2016”, he added.

While responding, Ayorinde told the TMC team that the Lagos State Government was very much committed to positioning the government owned media to play a key role in the quest to drive development and quality of broadcast as well as information dissemination to Lagosians.

"As a government, the Ambode led administration has cardinally given in to adequate capacity building through relevant training and programmes for the state workforce" he stressed. The Information Commissioner further told the visiting Transatlantic Media Company team that the state is placing emphasis on promoting the right values and spirit of Lagos and as such, it will do all that is needful to ensuring quality content and programmes that will help sustain Lagos as the Centre of Excellence that it is known for.
