Cynthia Duru, a distinguished professional in the DevOps engineering field, has been honored with the "Outstanding DevOps Engineer Excellence Award" at the 2024 Africa Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Awards.

Duru, currently serving as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Visa Europe, was celebrated for her exceptional expertise in cloud-native system design, automated CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure lifecycle management. Her technical prowess and leadership have significantly impacted multiple sectors, including digital health, maritime cybersecurity, and B2C payment solutions.
One of her standout achievements includes her contributions to VisaGo, a flagship product featured at the Olympics, showcasing her ability to deliver high-impact solutions on a global stage.
While presenting the award, Mr. Ken Nwogbo, publisher and editor-in-chief of Communications Week Media, highlighted Duru's groundbreaking work in DevOps engineering.
