A wide variety of titles are currently available from a broad alliance of publishers including Peepal Tree Press, Parresia Publishers, Amabooks, African perspectives publishing, Weaver press, Modjaji Books, Malthouse Press, African Heritage Press, Femrite publications, University of Namibia, Wordweaver Publishers and Sub-Saharan publishers, many of whom are part of the African Books collective.
The digital subscription service is now available for access to a rapidly growing population of increasingly mobile and data savvy users in Nigeria, with imminent plans to extend content to readers across the Africa and the diaspora.
Commenting on the latest partnership, Gersy Ifeanyi Ejimofo, founder of Digitalback Books said “We are really pleased about this latest deal. It is important that we give our readers what they ask for and recent survey results show that romance fiction is amongst the top genres searched for by mobile readers. This partnership with Nollybooksticks just the right box in our growing catalogue and there is much more to come, both in terms of quantity and diversity.”
Also, Moky Makura from MME Media, creators of the Nollybook series said, “We believe in making books entertaining, accessible and affordable, so I am pleased we have found a partner and platform that can help us get more people experiencing books that they can relate to. Nollybooks reflect the universal themes of modern day love – it’s essentially everyone’s favourite romantic comedy in a book”.
