Etisalat Nigeria, has unveiled “Easy Cliq”, its exciting new package designed specifically for young people. The new package includes innovative and exciting features like Unlimited SMS, Free Midnight Calls, Bonus on Incoming calls, Facebook update service by SMS, Free MMS, Free data downloads, One Cliq-One Tune, Cliq Ring Back Tune and Talk’n’Share.
These features and freebies are bound to excite young people and help them shine in their various cliques and communities of interest. The Easy Cliq package comes as a pack of four individual SIM cards which are bundled together and numbered sequentially to give members of a clique or group easy identification for each other when they use it.
Steven Evans, chief executive officer, Etisalat Nigeria, explained that Easy Cliq is tailored specifically to meet the needs and desires of the average Nigerian youth who values his friends, desires to constantly stay in touch with them and also desires to be on top of happenings in his funky world. “This product is further demonstration of our unflinching commitment to the needs of the Nigerian youth and their demand for innovative yet cost saving products and services. We have loaded Easy Cliq with these features and services that are sure to excite subscribers in the youth segment”, Evans said.
Wael Ammar, chief marketing officer, Etisalat, said that Easy Cliq offers Nigerian youths an opportunity to express themselves in many exciting ways. “Easy Cliq is loaded with features like Unlimited SMS, Free Midnight Calls, Bonus on Incoming calls, Facebook update service by SMS, Free MMS, Free data downloads, One Cliq-One Tune, Cliq Ring Back Tune and Talk’n’Share”.
“With Unlimited SMS from Etisalat, the subscriber gets a bonus SMS for every billed SMS. This means that each time a subscriber sends a text or SMS, they get free SMS that they can send to any of their friends on easy cliq. Young people on our network can also make Free Midnight Calls everyday between 12.30am and 4.30am as long as they have recharged with a minimum of N100 within the week,” Ammar said.
According to Ammar, with easy cliq, subscribers are automatically rewarded with free airtime for calls received from other networks as well as from Etisalat lines that are not on Easy Cliq under the package tagged Bonus on Incoming Calls feature. Subscribers will get 1 minute of free airtime for every 5 minutes of call received from outside the community. Any bonus minutes can then be used to call members of the Easy Cliq community.
“Also, consumers can take advantage of the 10 free MMS they stand to gain every month as long as they have used with a minimum of N500 during the month. The one cliq, one tune feature allows the easy cliq subscriber to check and confirm if their friend’s number is on Easy Cliq,” Wael explained extensively. Another innovative feature of Easy Cliq is that the receiver of a call can agree to share the cost of the call initiated to them with Talk ‘n’ Share. In this case, both the caller and the receiver split the call costs 50/50.”
The package allows subscribers the opportunity to update their status on Facebook simply by sending an SMS to a short code. They can write messages on their walls and contribute to blog sites all by sending SMS from their mobile phones. Subscribers can also upload pictures and videos directly from their phone to their Facebook profile via MMS. Easy Cliq subscribers can entertain their callers with the Cliq Ring Back Tune service, where the caller is entertained with different snazzy tunes when an Easy Cliq number is dialed.
For existing subscribers with interest in the Easy Cliq package, the company announced that it is possible to migrate from their current easy starter package by dialing *244*1#. First migration within the first 60 days of the launch of this product is free.”
