Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) yesterday visited the Little Saints Orphanages in the spirit of the Easter season and said that the Authority has committed itself to a steady support of the less privileged in the society as part of its corporate social responsibility by helping children in orphanages throughout the nation.

A statement by Yakubu Dati, general manager, Corporate Communications, quoted Mr. George Uriesi, managing director,  as saying that it was essential that everyone should contribute their quota in helping the helpless, abandoned or abused children in a society that is becoming less sensitive to the weak and the needy.

Uriesi,  also promised to commit all FAAN Airport managers to buy into the culture of supporting orphanages and motherless babies’ homes in their various locations as part of FAAN’s CSR culture.

He believes that every well meaning organization should not just be focused on profit making alone, but also giving back to the society.

He met with the children at the home and later gave gift items to the home, promising to develop a long term relationship with such orphanages that perform job that cannot be quantified.

Mrs. Bose Ogunbanjo, administrator of the orphanage, located at Akowonjo, in Lagos, thanked the management and entire leadership team of FAAN for their magnanimity and support, and expressed hope that the relationship will be long lasting and help in building lives of the children of the home.
