Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)  has recorded another milestone in its capacity building effort, with the certification of three of its staff as international airport managers.

Yakubu Dati, general manager, Corporate Communications, said in a statement described the achievement as in line with the Transformation Agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan.

He said, “FAAN has graduated three of the Authority’s staff from the Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP).

“The AMPAP programme which commenced in 2012 was concluded in February 2014, making the successful candidates Certified Airport Managers.

“The certified Airport Managers who successfully completed the AMPAP, in line with the Global ACI/ICAO objectives are Mr. Kabir Y. Mohammed, Chief of Staff to the MD/CEO, Mrs Vivian Menyanga of the Training Department and Mr. Emmanuel Chidera Emmanuel of the Airport Operations Department”.

Engr. Saleh Dunoma, managing director of the Authority, while presenting the candidates with their certificate, congratulated them and promised that the management of FAAN would ensure that the work force is constantly improved through training.

He added that staff should also be exposed to foreign training and not restricted to Nigeria alone, in order to bring them at par with their foreign counterparts in aviation.

The presentation was witnessed by the senior management team of the Authority made of Directors and senior staff.
