Speaking on the drives, Efe Obiomah, Public Relations Manager, GOtv said, “This month, we celebrate our diversity as Nigerians and the breadth of GOtv’s local content offering demonstrated through our five Africa Magic channels. We believe our subscribers will be very excited by the new series which are launching on Africa Magic Family.

“Now, GOtv Plus offers 50 channels including Africa Magic Family, Africa Magic Epic, Africa Magic Yoruba, Africa Magic Hausa and Africa Magic World.

“GOtv is also the first pay-TV on the digital terrestrial platform to offer audio channels, namely Wazobia FM and Naija FM”.

Also, GOtv signals cover States such as Abia, Anambra, Enugh, Imo (South East); Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta, Edo (South South); Ekiti, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Lagos and Oyo States (South West).

Others are, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto (North West); Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau (North Central).

On inqury why GOtv signals have not been launched in North East part of Nigeria, Obiomah, told Nigeria CommunicationsWeek that GOtv currently covers the areas its transmitter signals could reach and hopes to expand as National Broadcasting Commission’s permits the Station.

“Because GOtv operates on the terrestrial platform, each transmitter requires a frequency to operate. The frequencies are licensed by the NBC. So far, we have rolled-out in the cities for which we have licenses,” she said in an email to Nigeria CommunicationsWeek.
