EMC Bags Number One Spot; honored for the Strategic Balance between ‘Employee First’ Culture and Ambitious Business Growth
EMC has emerged number one best place to work in Nigeria by Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW). This was announced at an awards ceremony which took place on the 29th of April at the Civic Center in Lagos.
The ceremony brought together MD/CEOs, Managers and Heads of HR from companies all over Nigeria to mark the 4th award ceremony in Nigeria. The official list is a ranking of the 10 best employers based on the confidential feedback of employees and an audit of management practices.
GPTW recognized EMC for its success in creating a collaborative, high performance work environment that is built on trust and offers employees on going professional and career development opportunities.
EMC earned significant pointes for placing the health and happiness of their employees at the strategic center of the business; and empowering HR leaders with innovative tools and resources.

Addressing guests at the ceremony, keynote speaker, Dr Okechukwu Enelamah, minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, described the award as “a welcome initiative in Nigeria and an avenue for inspiring greatness.” He further challenged organizations to “rise beyond the ordinary to pursue excellence.”

To select the ‘Top Companies to Work for in Nigeria’, Great Place to Work conducts an evaluation of each participating company. Two-thirds of the company’s score is based on the results of the Institute’s proprietary Trust Index© survey, which is sent to the employees from each company.
