International law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that it has once again improved its showing in the Chambers Global rankings. These rankings acknowledge the firm’s practices and individual lawyers’ contributions to the global legal industry based on their high-profile work and in-depth interviews with clients, lawyers and corporate counsel.

As in previous years, Hogan Lovells increased the number of practices and lawyers in the annual rankings. The rankings highlight the firm’s global capabilities across multiple and diverse practice areas.

Hogan Lovells was ranked in 37 new practice areas and was promoted in 12. The firm achieved top band recognition in the following practice areas: Data Protection (Global and European); Dispute Resolution (Global and European); Intellectual Property (Global, European, Italy, Japan, and Russia); Life Sciences (Global and European); Patent Litigation (Germany); Trademarks and Unfair Competition (Germany); Dispute Resolution - Arbitration (Mexico); Dispute Resolution - Civil and Commercial Litigation (Mexico); Dispute Resolution - Litigation (UK); Disputes - International and Cross-Border (UK); International Trade - Remedies and Policy (U.S.); Privacy and Data Security (U.S.).

The rankings also recognize individual lawyers as leaders in their field, elder statesmen, and up-and-coming. Paris-based partner Marie-Aimée de Dampierre (Intellectual Property) and London-based partner Matthew Cottis (Banking and Finance) were both recognized as Eminent Practitioners.

Overall the firm achieved 19 top tier practice and sector rankings out of 187 total rankings, as well as 20 Band 1 ranked individuals out of 179 ranked lawyers, representing offices from as far afield as the UK, France, Vietnam, Australia, Brazil, and Indonesia.
