MultiChoice has appointed Tim Jacobs as the new chief executive officer of Africa.
In a statement announcing the appointment, MultiChoice stated that Jacobs formerly held the position of pay-TV chief financial officer before he took over the reins from Nico Meyer on 1 April 2015.
Nico Meyer decided to leave the group on 31 March 2015 for personal reasons, notes the statement.
According to the Naspers website Jacobs first joined the MultiChoice group in 2013 as chief financial officer of MultiChoice South Africa, and was appointed director of finance for MultiChoice South Africa and the MultiChoice South Africa board in April 2014.
