MTN Project Fame: All Contestants on Probation

 
All the seven remaining students of the ongoing MTN Project Fame West African academy were placed on probation on Sunday 16th of November, as the musical contest took a new dimension in determining who goes up next for eviction.
The seven contestants were all hot and smoking at the previous show when they put up an all round gleaming performances, making the decision of who goes on probation, a hard nut for the judges to crack.
It was a totally different experience from what has been seen so far since the commencement of the highly entertaining audience based show, which saw the contestants now reduced to seven following the eviction of Dorcas Yeboah from Ghana and Nigerian Caroline Agbonlahor, at the elimination show on Saturday 15th of November, surprised the massive studio audience which also had the Project Fame judges.
The judges include Femi Aderibigbe popularly known as ‘Kwame’, the Ghanaian Bibie A Brew, the Nigerian producer, Tayo TEE-Y Ibitoye and Barkue Tubman, a reputable international singer from Liberia who appeared as a guest judge, as well as the Faculty, which comprised of Joke Jacobs, the principal, Gogo Majin, the voice trainer, Ben Ogbeiwi, the head of music and Jennifer Ogbor, the dance instructor.
The seven contestants are Nigerian Annette Cookey, Onyeamechi Offor, Bisola Aiyeola, Praise Adejo, Inyanya Mbuk, and the Ghanaian duo of Kojo Osew and Nii Ankra.
The contestants for the first time since the commencement of the show performed various songs that were composed and written by themselves, and with a live band which comprised of a lead guitarist, a bass guitarist, a drummer and a pianist. They were just beyond description as they sent the audience into a bout of cheers and excitement.
Unlike what had been seen in previous shows, the contestants were just too hot to handle as they comfortably sang their own songs which Seun Awosika, a noted producer with star FM said could even be graded as better than some of the songs performed by some established African artistes.
This however made the Judges to resort to a surprise decision to have all the seven contestants nominated for probation, leaving the viewers to decide who they want to keep in the academy and who they want to evict.
