MTN Foundation has continued the implementation of the MTNF EyeRIS Project, endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Health.
The project is being implemented by MTN in partnership with Eye Foundation Centre for Prevention of Blindness (EFCPB), aimed at curbing preventable blindness in Nigeria.
The final beneficiary is Jigawa state for the North western zone where over 10, 000 patients will be screened and treated for cataracts and other ocular diseases.
The official flag off ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Rasheed Shekoni Specialist Hospital, Dutse, Jigawa state.
