Just three months after its formal debut on the Nigerian scene, the Cosmos brand of desktop computers from Coscharis Technologies Limited, has passed the Windows Vista Logo Test conducted by the Microsoft Corporation under its Windows Hardware Quality Laboratory (WHQL) certification programme.
In this way, Cosmos has joined the league of computer brands that have been certified to be compatible with Windows Vista Operating System, and is also among the few Nigerian brands that have passed the test under the latest operating system from Microsoft.
The certification qualifies Cosmos to use the ‘Certified for Windows Vista’ logo from Microsoft.
Seun Olofinjana, Cosmos plant manager, said: “The testing involved in the certification process guarantees a reliable and trouble-free installation and usage of the Ultimate, Enterprise, Business, Home Premium and Home Basic editions of Microsoft Windows Vista.” Adding: “Our customers can buy Cosmos with the full assurance that it runs perfectly on the Windows Vista OS. This further validates our standards from an external body.”
Banji Hammed, Cosmos’ chief operating officer, noted that the achievement was a ground-breaking one, even as he stated that it was a further demonstration of the brand’s commitment to international quality standards and focus on the customer.
He said they believe that only the best is good enough for Nigerians and Cosmos is here to ensure that the public derives maximum performance from the computers in order to improve corporate productivity and personal effectiveness.
Cosmos was launched in July 2008 in Lagos by Cosmas Maduka, Coscharis Group president, and is manufactured in Nigeria by Coscharis Technologies Limited.
