Dr. Sunny Kuku and Pharm (Sir) Ifeanyi Atueyi have been honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA 2015) in a show filled with class, glamour and panache recently
 
The event which was witnessed by over 400 stakeholders in the healthcare sector from government, business, diplomatic community and the media also honoured Late Dr. (Mrs.) Stella Adadevoh, her late and survived colleagues of First Foundation Hospital for their heroics in the containment of the Ebola virus in Nigeria.

Other winners in the night include: Chioma Obinna of Vanguard newspaper and Habibat Basanya of TVC in the Healthcare Media Excellence category for print and electronic respectively , Airtel (Outstanding CSR Project of the Year), Reddington Hospital (Private Healthcare Provider of the Year), JNC (Biomedical Engineering Service Provider of the Year), Swiss Biostadt (Healthcare Equipment Marketing Company of the Year), Bridge Clinic (IVF Service Provider of the Year).

Other were: MeCure (Eye Care Service Provider of the Year), Hygeia HMO (Healthcare Maintenance Company of the Year), Nigeria Airforce Laboratory – Ikeja (Public Laboratory Provider of the Year), Outreach Children Hospital (Secondary Healthcare Provider of the Year), LASUTH (Tertiary Healthcare Service Provider of the Year), LUTH Physiotherapy Department (Physiotherapy Service Provider of the Year), Nigeria Primary Healthcare Development Agency (Public Healthcare Provider of the Year), Smile 360 (Dental Service Provider of the Year).

Also honoured were:  May & Baker (Excellence in Pharmaceutical Research & Development). Others are, Sproxil (Innovative Healthcare Service Provider), Ogun State Araya Health Insurance Scheme (Outstanding State Government Healthcare Programme of the Year), St. Nicholas Hospital (Dialysis Service Provider of the Year), Pathcare Laboratories (Private Laboratory Service Provider of the Year), Special Recognition Award was presented to Ondo State Government (Abiye progamme)- For their Role in Reducing Material and Child Mortality in Nigeria etc.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Wale Alabi, Project Director and CEO of Global Health & Project Resources who are organisers told recipients that, “You are been recognised for your outstanding and exemplary contributions to improving access to quality healthcare in Nigeria. Your tireless work to care for the citizens of Nigeria deserve recognition and celebration”.

He further reiterated that it is important to honour a special few who have demonstrated leadership, brilliance and bravery through their commitment, expertise and selflessness.

Winners were selected by five independent panel of judges from nominations received online and offline through a thorough process of screening and selection.
