Nigeria CommunicationsWeek, the leading business newspaper will next month publish the much awaited list of top 20 ICT drivers in the country to celebrate some individuals and organizations who through their works have contributed to better life of Nigerians and indeed the country.
The special report tagged “ICT Champions” will record outstanding works and achievements of these worthy individuals and organizations for posterity and references.
“ICT Champions” will be available on Nigeria CommunicationsWeek’s regular weekly business newspaper as well as online for one year before it is archived.
Commenting on the report, Ken Nwogbo, editor-in-chief, Nigeria CommunicationsWeek said that “the report is a celebration of players who have developed strong expertise; abilities; and capabilities in areas of ICT”
“These actors often go unnoticed for many reasons, but we want to celebrate them because the conjecture is that the ascendancy of the ICT sector as an economic vocal point owes to a large measure to its relatively faster human capital formation. These are the true Champions stirring the ICT revolution” Nwogbo said.
The report will feature rare interviews; editorial write ups; contact details of the companies; and adverts of the companies to be profiled.
Nwogbo added that “It promises to be a guiding document for future policy and purchase decision as well as a showpiece of some of Nigeria’s finest individuals and firms”
ICT is a great deal more than just a technology– indeed; it is the gateway to a bright future where all countries can compete in the online digital economy; where governments can deliver innovative new e-government services; where the imaginations and skills of today’s children will deliver the inventions and innovations of tomorrow.
